Why are we sponsoring the FRS Youth Tour? <ul><li>Polar Communications is a proud member of the National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA), a trade association that represents over 560 locally owned telephone companies, like ours, throughout rural America. Many NTCA member companies, like Polar, will be sending students from their communities to Washington, D.C. for the 2010 FRS Youth Tour. We are very excited to be offering this opportunity to you! </li></ul>

Who is FRS? <ul><li>The Foundation for Rural Service (FRS), in cooperation with the National Telecommunications Cooperative Association (NTCA) seeks to sustain and enhance the quality of life throughout Rural America by advancing and understanding of rural telecommunications issues. </li></ul>

What is the FRS Youth Tour? <ul><li>A four-day, all expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. </li></ul><ul><li>An opportunity to visit famous historical sites and amazing museums </li></ul><ul><li>A chance to meet other high school students from across rural America </li></ul><ul><li>A chance to learn more about the telecommunications industry </li></ul><ul><li>An opportunity to learn first-hand about the legislative and governmental processes </li></ul>

  11. 11. Who’s eligible? <ul><li>High school students, age 16 or 17 years old at the time of the Youth Tour. </li></ul><ul><li>Students who receive service from Polar Communications </li></ul>

Some logistics <ul><li>If selected, Polar will pay all of your expenses to go to Washington, D.C. to attend the 2010 FRS Youth Tour (airfare included). </li></ul><ul><li>FRS will get in touch with you about what you will be doing once you arrive in Washington, what you should bring, what you should wear, what to expect once you arrive, etc. </li></ul>
