DI’s Management Program gives you knowledge and tools to improve your competencies as a manager.

Module 1<br />The personal management profile (JTI profile)During the first module you will gain  insight in your own preferences as a manager which will help you relate to your own management behavior in a professional way. - Welcome, getting started, and an introduction to the program - DI’s leadership model - The theory behind JTI - Your own JTI profile <br />2<br />

Module 2<br />The foundation of management<br />During the second module you will consolidate your strengths as a manager, and you will become aware of the fundamental principles of management and your own role. We will be spending time on how to use your strengths to fill your role as manager in the best way possible. You will be working with: - The right and obligation to manage - The strategic view - The three management roles (professionalism, management, and leadership) - Delegation - Motivation - Communication as a management tool - Personal impact as a manager - The role as a manager and the law - Managing diversity - Personal development as a manager<br />3<br />
  4. 4. Module 3<br />Management in a practical contextThe third module is based on training management tools in order to improve  your management skills. During this module you will gain insight into practical management tools, which will strengthen your competencies on the daily management. You will be working with: - Coaching as a management tool - Developing a healthy and cooperative work environment and culture - Change management - Managing conflicts - The challenging and important conversation - Personal development as a manager <br />4<br />
  5. 5. Module 4<br />Team managementDuring the fourth module you will learn how to effectively develop and manage your team. You will gain insight into important elements of effective decision making in teams. A thorough personal feedback will give you insight into your own strengths in team management. You will be working with: - Development of effective teams - Team psychology - Effective decision making in teams - Training team management (through practical exercises) - Personal feedback on your performance as a team manager - Personal development as a manager <br />5<br />

Module 5<br />Resource managementDuring the fifth module you will be working with management tools that will help you become more effective in relation to time management and prioritizing of resources. This module will also focus on the opportunities for networking and how to continue your development as a manager based on sharing experiences with other managers. - Delegation (sum up) - Time and resource management/prioritizing - Good management in your organization - Networking with managers - Finishing the program <br />6<br />

Method<br />The program will consist of a combination of presentations, individual exercises, group exercises, discussions in plenum, coaching, reflection, and feedback from the instructors as well as from the other participants. During the program you will learn to use tools in order to ensure optimal effect in your own organization. In between the modules you will be encouraged to implement the tools in your organization, and when you return to the program you will have the opportunity to evaluate your performance and share experiences with other participants.<br />7<br />
