  2. 2. Definition <ul><li>It is the act of exercising or stretching in preparation for strenuous activity or any </li></ul><ul><li>act of preparation for a performance </li></ul>

Benefits <ul><li>Increases heart rate </li></ul><ul><li>Increase of temperature in the muscles </li></ul><ul><li>Enables oxygen in the blood to travel with greater speed </li></ul><ul><li>You can get better results after doing the worm-up </li></ul><ul><li>You can prevent injuries doing the warm up before you play sports </li></ul>
  4. 4. Parts of the worm-up <ul><li>There are two parts in the worm-up </li></ul><ul><li>Worm-up </li></ul><ul><li>Joint mobilization Mobilization </li></ul>
  5. 5. Joint mobilization <ul><li>It consists on moving your joints to warm up them. You start from the ankles to the head </li></ul><ul><li>This is the order: </li></ul><ul><li>Ankles, knees, hips, weist, shoulders, elbows, wrists and neck. </li></ul>

Mobilization <ul><li>It consists on running, playing some games or doing a physical preactivity. </li></ul><ul><li>Some examples of games are: </li></ul><ul><li>Policemen and thieves: </li></ul><ul><li>There are two teams, one will try to catch the other group and the other will try to escape through a limited court (thieves). When the policemen catch all the thieves the game ends, and now the pilicemen will turn into thieves and the thieves into policemen </li></ul>
  7. 7. Mobilization <ul><li>Pacman </li></ul><ul><li>This game is played in a court which has some lines painted. There is a person who has to catch the rest of the players (the pacman), and he can run through all the court, but the rest of the people can only run through the court’s lines. When the pacman catches someone, the cought person has to turn into a pacman. </li></ul>
