  16. 16. Sean Rad, Co-founder and CEO of Tinder, decided to help activate millennials by putting himself behind Voter A tinder style app on policies to help people chose Tinder Got Into Politics
  17. 17. A lot of talks centred around FB flogging Live. The summit did stream the main stages which was great to catch up on any bits missed. At the moment Live hits the top of streams - expect brands to make the most of the algorithm, for the meantime Facebook Live
  18. 18. Outside of Live and Bots, FB is on a CSR mission to connect the world. One route is via Aquila - a solar powered plane, weighs 1000lbs, flies for up to 90 days at a time beaming internet to people in remote regions Cool - but scary if it lands on you Facebook Connectivity
  19. 19. Conversation surrounded the event around how it’s only regulation inhibiting autonomous cars. The car is moving from an object of transportation to a connected mobile space. So we moved on to talk about mass Space travel and the new Hyperloop due to be built in Dubai - using electromagnetic energy to travel 150km in 12 minutes. Watch this 5 year space. By 2050 we’ll have gone to Mars and settled - Mike Massimo, Astronaut Space Travel And Hyperloops
  20. 20. Facebook virtual reality - sold with the idea of connecting people, but just seems like fancy Skype with Avatars - and doesn’t replace human contact and truly meeting someone in person. Headsets are predicted to improve hugely - wireless with headphones etc built in When will social VR stop feeling creepy? Or is it something for the Second Life generation? Vr Is The Future - But We’re Not There Yet
  21. 21. 45% of European tech unicorns are based in the UK As places like Lisbon, where office and studio space are cheap, creative types are flocking and the government is wooing the tech industry - will post-Brexit Britain be able to maintain it’s lead in Europe for the unicorns?   22. 22. Maurice Levy from Publicis Groupe represented the advertising world. 54% of the groups revenue is from digital. Publicis invested 10 million Euros into 90 startups for their 90th birthday. “Marketing offers the tech world the emotional layer” Advertising Offers Emotion

  25. 25. MEDIA HOLDS A HUGE AMOUNT OF POWER WITHIN TECH AND THE MODELS DUE TO CHANGE
  26. 26. THE TECH WORLD ARE GOOD AT UNDERSTANDING PROBLEMS BUT THEY NEED OUR HELP TO SOLVE THEM AND CONNECT WITH AUDIENCES - AND ARE SLOWLY BEGINNING TO REALISE IT
