  3. 3. CMS / Framework dilemma3 options:• Custom code inside a CMS codebase: No framework to help you.• Cheap CMS on top of a good framework• Combine a framework with a CMS: needs hacks in the CMS to integrate custom features. “We must find a better way!” 3
  4. 4. The Symfony CMF• Content Management added to a popular general purpose Framework• Collaboration all around the world• available as open source with the MIT license• Key aspects: scalability, usability, documentation and testing 4
  5. 5. The CMF Editor • Semantic editor based on HTML5, JS, RDFa and VIE • With focus on the User Interface • Already available under MIT license“I’m here to extend the editor withautomatic semantic data handling” 5
