  17. 17. <ul><li>The Special Education (SE) teachers are required to have an active role in class </li></ul><ul><li>Try to give the SE teacher more advance notice of plans, tests, pop quizzes, etc. </li></ul><ul><li>Don’t allow SE teachers to bounce all over the curriculum from semester to semester </li></ul><ul><li>Pair teachers by ability – knowledge of content area. Work to their strengths </li></ul><ul><li>Maintain teams that work well together for a few years </li></ul><ul><li>CO-TEACHING means both teachers teach </li></ul>
