Starting Check-List Please initial as many of the statements that apply to you! _____ I have prayed and/or fasted about my decision to become a Chapter Director, Chapter Co-Director and/or Teleconference/Webinar Facilitator. _____ I have visited www.christianauthorsontournetwork.com and read through the website thoroughly – meaning I’ve clicked on all of the tabs and taken the time to familiarize myself with the criteria for membership, and I understand the network benefits. _____I have visited The Christian AOT Network’s Facebook page and clicked “LIKE.” _____I know the Bible foundation scripture for The Christian AOT Network. _____ I have shared information about The Christian AOT Network with at least one other people. _____ I have posted information about my books, my ministry, events and/or business on The Christian AOT Network’s Facebook page. _____I have posted at least one discussion point and/or I replied to a discussion point on The Christian AOT Network’s Facebook page. _____I have visited the prayer discussion group to read and pray for the posts listed or I have posted a prayer in the prayer discussion section of The Christian AOT Network’s Facebook page. NOTE: You do not have to share your answers with me or anyone else, but I will ask you about the self-assessment during our telephone chat which I will schedule with each of you individually. It’s a good place to start the conversation in terms of assessing how vested you are in finding your niche in the network and figuring out how to make it work for you.
Self-Assessment : If you have initialed less than 6 of the statements on the checklist from the prior page, you should probably reconsider whether or not this is the best income earning opportunity for you at this time. Think of this way. If this were a test, six out of eight correct answers would have given you a score of 75%. Anything less than that would have been failing. I guess the point I am trying to stress here is that the success of The Christian AOT Network is dependent in large part due to your active participation and follow-through. And how one starts a thing is usually how one finishes it. So, if you aren’t participating now and taking an active interest in helping to promote the network or even taking the time to read the information that helps you understand what the network is about, then you probably won’t do it later. Although I appreciate your interest, The Christian AOT Network is a new venture that will need people who are fully vested in and committed to participating, supporting, praying and promoting its growth. Please don’t take this the wrong way. If you are really interested in being an active team member and you have initialed less than six items, I would suggest you stop reading this guide and take a moment to complete each of the tasks listed on the prior page. Once you have done so, redo the check-list and continue onto the next page.

ABOUT US The Christian Authors On Tour Network otherwise known as The Christian AOT Network is a networking and professional development group for any one interested in using writing as a tool for Christian ministry. The Benefits of Membership Christian authors and/or writers who choose to become a member of The Christian AOT Network enjoy the following benefits: 1. Membership Card - a Christian AOT Network membership card; 2. Membership Gift - a Christian AOT Network tee -shirt and pen; 3. Two Blog Talk Radio Interviews - two LIVE interviews on the Christian Authors on Tour Blog Talk Radio Show to talk about your book ministry, upcoming events and/or your testimony as a Christian writer; 4. One Guest Co-Host Opportunity - the opportunity to co-host at least one episode of the Christian Authors on Tour Blog Talk Radio Show ; 5. Author Tips and Writing Info - one email blast per month with information regarding writing opportunities [i.e. grants, conferences, contests/fellowships, professional development], writing/marketing, book publishing and/or ministry tips relevant to Christian writers; 6. Email Marketing Support - at least one opportunity to have your Christian book, your short bio and contact information featured in a monthly email blast to the general public; 7. Online Fellowship & Technical Support - access to the Christian AOT Back Office which provides an opportunity for Christian writers to communicate with other Christian authors, network, post information about their books, share updates, share tips, share testimonies, share prayer requests and/or get guidance in launching and/or managing a writing ministry; 8. Anthology Submission Invitation - an opportunity to participate in an annual anthology project focused on sharing the true meaning of Christmas. The scheduled release date in 2011 is December 1st; 9. Bio Page - a full-page linked to the Christian AOT Network's main website that features a photo of you, your short bio, the front cover of your book, a book synopsis, book ordering information, your contact information, a link back to your book/ministry website, links to up to two other websites of your choice that have some connection to you and/or your book ministry, and the embed code for one video of your choice and your interview on the Christian AOT Blog Talk Radio Show; 1O. Leadership Development - One opportunity to host a telephone conference call on a topic of your choice as a way to enhance your own leadership development skills while helping other writers learn a new skill and/or strategy to helps them use writing as a tool for Christian ministry; 11. Marketing/Public Relations Support - two email blasts per month designed specifically to spotlight your book and/or writing ministry [you must provide your own database of email addresses]; 12. Professional Development Support - opportunity to participate in one professional development conference call and/or webinar a month focused on sharpening your writing, marketing, public speaking and/or ministry skills; and 13. Intercessory Prayer - opportunity to participate in an online prayer action team where you can post prayer requests, read other member's prayer requests and make the commitment to pray for them.
The Costs of Membership Membership fees are $420 [$35 x 12 months] for one year covering the time span of July 1, 2011 - July 31, 2012. This is a little more than a dollar a day for 3O days. People who take advantage of the Early Bird Special will receive a $12O discount [$25 x 12 months] on their membership fee [$. This offer is good until March 1, 2011. This is a little more than a dollar a day for 3O days. *Membership fees are paid in full at the start of the year and are non-refundable* Leadership Team Dues: If you become a Director, Co-Director or Teleconference/Webinar Facilitator, your membership fees are $18O [$15 x 12] for one year. This is just fifty cents a day for 3O days. NOTE: The Christian Authors on Tour Network a.k.a. The Christian AOT Network is a separate entity from Christian Authors on Tour [ www.christianauthorsontour.com ] and membership to the Christian AOT Network does not guarantee acceptance to www.christianauthorsontour.com or the 2O12 Fellowship of Believers: Christian Authors on Tour.
Early Bird Registration MEMBERS WHO PAY FOR MEMBERSHIP PRIOR TO January 25, 2O11 will be invited to be part of a 5-Month Beta launch of The Christian AOT Network. Starting February 1, 2O11 - June 3O, 2O11, early bird members will help us test the launch of The Christian AOT Network and provide insight into helping us make the &quot;Official&quot; launch on July 1st as smooth as possible! How are you involved in the Launch? If you schedule a workshop in any month before July, your workshop is considered part of the Beta Launch of The Christian AOT Network. This is a trial and error period that will give us some time to work out the kinks and regroup, if necessary. IMPORTANT REMINDER : Directors, Co-Directors and Teleconference/Webinar Facilitators play an integral role in the professional development and spiritual strengthening of Christian AOT members. In the back office, members will be able to sign-up for upcoming professional development activities [i.e. teleconference/webinars or blogtalk radio shows] and access links to lots of free sites that help Christians grow their understanding of the Word of God and improve their writing.

Where Do You Fit? Hosting Teleconferences/Webinars. Christian AOT Network members who are selected to conduct a teleconference and/or webinar will earn $1OO for every workshop they facilitate and former members from the 2OO8-2OO9 and 2O1O Tours will also earn 4O% of workshop participant fees! Former CAOT members from the 2OO8-2OO9 and 2O1O Tours who choose not to join the Christian AOT Network will earn $75 for every workshop and/or webinar you facilitate plus 4O% of workshop participant fees. Either way, you are responsible for ensuring that at least ten people call-in to participate in your scheduled teleconference workshop and/or log-in to participate in your scheduled webinar in order to receive the promised earnings. * Launching/Sustaining Chapters . I am looking for one - two individuals to serve as Director or Co-Directors for chapters of The Christian AOT Network. Here are the states where I am interested in planting a chapter in 2O11: Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, New York, Texas, West Virginia, Virginia and the District of Columbia. If you are selected to become a Director and/or Co-Director, you will receive a discounted membership of $1O a month [$12O a year] into the Christian AOT Network . Each chapter has the following leadership structure : One Director or two Co-Directors and a Treasurer. The membership dues are split 6O/4O with each chapter based on the locale of members who join through www.christianauthorsontournetwork.com . 6O% of membership dues goes back into the local chapter and is disbursed in the following way: 2O% for one Director or 2O% split between two Co-Directors, 15% for Treasurer and 25% back into general Chapter budget. Each chapter consists of a board which is made up of these paid people [Directors and Treasurer] plus five general members of the Christian AOT Network who live in your geographic area. Job Descriptions will be available soon. * Seeking Corporate Sponsors. Regardless of whether or not you join the Christian AOT Network, you have the opportunity to earn income when you help solicit sponsors for the Christian AOT Network. For every person you recruit into The Christian AOT Network, you earn $2O. The person must list your name on their membership application as the person who referred them.

Monthly Email Blasts – highlighting upcoming teleconferences/webinars, spotlighting different members and individuals on leadership team/chapter advertisement Webinar Company [Free or Low Cost/Any Suggestions] Legal Issues/Liability Insurance – Does anyone know a lawyer who can help with this? Accounting System – Chapter Payments – PAYPAL only – Expectations on how chapter money should be spent [i.e. local fellowships/meet-ups, writing contests, scholarships to our members, donation to a member’s charity– chapter members vote and decide] Work Status/Personal Taxes – You are responsible for your own taxes. Income earned through The Christian AOT Network c/o Create-A-Book Baltimore, Inc is considered as a consulting opportunity. You are not a part-time and/or full-time employee, but an Independent Consultant ineligible for unemployment insurance . Payment Structure – PAYPAL only. Chapter events – partnering with existing groups i.e. Black Writer’s Guild of MD Advertising/Marketing Plan that ties in websites that below to everyone who is part of leadership team.
Yes, this is a lot to take in and it is a major initiative that is trendsetting and trailblazing. There are other similar online groups but nothing is exactly like what we are proposing for The Christian AOT Network.
