In spite of the good intentions, the business declined and was soonin the red. The team was very discouraged and considered leaving the company.Solution: Morphos was invited by the company director to assess and diagnose theroot of the problem. We discovered that the newly promoted manager’s strengthswere in sales and not in management. Adopting our advice, a potential manager wasappointed deputy manager to manage the team and the newly promoted managerwas released to focus on sales.Result: In 6 months, the company turned around from loss into profit. Upon assessment, we found the cause of the problem to be themisalignment of the top management. Hence we conducted a series of topmanagement team coaching sessions to unearth hidden issues so as to bringresolution to the conflicts among the top management.Result: Positive behavioural changes in the top management cascaded throughout thecompany, breaking silos and increasing collaboration for business performance.
