Google your name and you'll find the search results, at the top of mine it's my LinkedIn profile, my Twitter Profile, a link to my blog, and a link to my BforB web site. A LinkedIn profile rises you to the top of search results, letting you control the first impression people get when searching for you online! That's what you use to connect with people in your network and your profile is how you get found on LinkedIn, because it contains information about your skills and experience.
