Your Brain on Success
Check out today’s episode of the “Not So Breaking” News with me, Lori Hil…
While this video is just me being silly, I do have a point. Aside from the cheesiness and horrible
lighting, you probably had a hard time listening to me for another reason.

You started singing the Fresh Prince theme song, didn’t you!
Maybe you’ve been watching re-runs, but more likely that song is still ingrained in your brain from
years ago. The technical aspects that make the song so catchy, I couldn’t tell you. But, there is
something about that song and show intro. It just stays with you, bringing up feelings of fun, pep, and
90′s Pop Culture.
So, what does all the Fresh Prince have to do with Mindful Monday?
Think about this for a moment…
What if YOU could harness the power of video and music like that, not just for fun, but to
actually reprogram your brain for success?
Visualization boards are great inspiration, but they don’t always have a lot of power on their own. If,
however, you took that vision board and made it move, added music, and truly got into the feeling
place of it, Wow! The power would increase significantly!
Just like The Fresh Prince theme song, your vision would stick with you, working on your
subconscious mind throughout the day and night.
First comes thought; then organization of that thought, into ideas and plans; then
transformation of those plans into reality. The beginning, as you will observe, is in
your imagination. ~Napoleon Hill
Rather than using only the visual, like a physical vision board, a “vision movie” engages various
senses and learning styles. Visual, auditory, and even kinesthetic are involved if you really get into it!
The How of Success Programming
There are different ways of going about creating such a movie. My personal favorite is to take
advantage of all the work Natalie, Ryan, and Morry have put in over at Mind Movies and Mind Movies
Matrix. Both are genius programs that have made creating and watching your own “mind movie”
I used Mind Movies to create my own video and spend just a few minutes watching it every day. I
have yet to find a free way to create your mind movie as easily as Ryan and Natalie’s Mind Movie
Program. But, if money is tight, it’s time to get creative.
Find some pictures that represent your goals, the desires you have for your life. Choose some
powerful “I Am” statements and affirmations that represent who you want to become.
Then, if purchasing Mind Movies doesn’t seem right for you, use a video-editing program you
already have on your computer. Try one like iMovie. Add your pics and affirmations, set to your
favorite music and spend time watching it daily. Give it at least 21 days and see what happens.
You may not have any gigantic changes happen right away, but stick with it!
Sometimes we have so many negative blocks that need to be replaced with positive messages. If
you picture yourself in the life you want, rather than focusing on what you don’t, I guarantee you will
feel better at the very least. Seeing changes in your mind and emotional state is how it all begins.
The mind is a powerful thing. It can take you through walls. ~ Denis Avey
Try it out! Let me know how it goes and start reprogramming your brain for success NOW!
