Child labour at the Industrial Revolution

  2. 3. <ul><li>Some families shared house and lived in bad conditions. </li></ul><ul><li>Some people lived in workhouses. </li></ul>
  3. 4. <ul><li>They were very rich. </li></ul><ul><li>They employed children because they were cheaper and they didn't complain. </li></ul><ul><li>They were very cruel. </li></ul>
  4. 5. <ul><li>Orphans and poor and old people lived there. </li></ul><ul><li>They gave them food, work and a place to live. </li></ul>
  5. 6. <ul><li>Sometimes the treatment was very cruel. </li></ul><ul><li>Sometimes orphan children were picked up for working in the factories. </li></ul>
