  2. 2. About the Author • My name is Michael • I love reading very much. My hobbies are almost everything. I like colleting rocks,book,snow globes and cards. I chose this animal because they are beautiful and I love them.
  3. 3. Who Am I • The Mute swan is 56-62 inches long and the wingspan to 8-9 feet. They have vibrant orange bills with black knobs, white plumage and long, gracefully- held necks.
  4. 4. The Early Years • Young mute swan first fly 100-120 days after hatching. Chicks are light gray and remains 1 day in nest.
  5. 5. Habitat Sweet Habitat • Their nest are made from a large pile of aquatic plants, root, reeds and sticks.
  6. 6. What’s on the Menu? • They eat submerged aquatic vegetations or SAV, also referred to as bay grass, they eat eight pounds of it everything.

  8. 8. Simply Irresistible! • The Mute swan is sometimes quiet and it sometimes makes high pitched purring sound. It hold its neck in a graceful s curve.
