A technology designed to meet the challenge: Led by a visionary, highly experienced technical team - Performance Indicator has applied the most advanced color and imaging science to our technology. Our team includes imaging scientists with a lifetime of experience at Polaroid where they not only created molecular triggers to turn color on or off but also delivered complex imaging systems to the marketplace. PI has translated these technologies into customized self-illuminating imaging systems for a multitude of imaging applications. The team is led by Dr. Satish Agrawal, an internationally-recognized imaging engineer who previously served as Group Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Polaroid. Our areas of expertise include imaging chemistry research, image and color science, coating technologies, polymer chemistry, fluid and dispersion chemistry development, and environmental testing.

Market Opportunities Safety and Egress - All Commercial and Institutional RE will look to enhance safety (traditional and emergency) during power outages caused by natural disaster, catastrophic equipment failure, fire, or act of terrorism. Building codes are changing to require widespread use of these products Energy Savings – LEED Sustainability and energy efficiency standards are opening new doors for innovative technologies to support “Go Green” initiatives. Application of PL products can help maintain safety levels as lighting schemes are modified to reduce energy consumption. As overall lighting is levels are reduced, accident liabilities increase unless alternative illumination is present. Transportation Systems – Both general way finding and emergency egress are increasingly important components of public transportation safety systems. Current paint and reflector applications are fragile and do not stand up well to harsh weather and vehicle abuse. Stadiums – Stadium safety is an increasingly worrisome management issue. As stadiums transition from single sport to multi-use facilities, lack of proper lighting is causing increased accidents and liabilities. Insurance companies are increasingly forcing operators to improve egress and safety markings.   9. 9. Stadium Management was presented with a common liability issue. Insufficient lighting in the upper decks was causing increased liability exposure. The insurance carrier demanded a solution to improve visibility and reduce accidents. Installing traditional electrified lighting was expensive and could pose glare problems for batters. 2” x 36” stripes were applied to increase visibility. The final result was reduced incidence of accidents and lowered overall liability insurance costs. Reliable Guidance in Unpredictable Situations: San Diego Sports Arena Emergency Egress Markings – Stairwell Guidance Superior Results: Successful application of PI paints on the stairs at the San Diego Sports Arena was completed on August 20, 2008. The illumination from the paints was highly visible and had the added benefits of illuminating the numbers on the seats to help fans quickly identify the correct row and take their seats quickly and safely. Note the bottom stair on the right to compare the visibility of PI paints versus the old road paint that was previously applied. It is like night and day when it comes ot fan safety within the Arena.

Chicago Transit Authority Emergency Egress Markings - Stairwells and Railings <ul><li>The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) was refurbishing and updating systems throughout their transportation stations and tunnels. Many of the areas had critical deficiencies in emergency evacuation lighting that was very difficult and costly to retrofit. These pigments severely impede the paints ability to absorb light energy and limits the brightness and length of glow.
