VAGINA <ul><li>The vagina is a muscular tube, lined with mucous membrane that extends from the cervix of the uterus to the outside of the body. </li></ul><ul><li>The vagina allows for the passage of menstrual flow </li></ul><ul><li>During intercourse, the vagina receives the male’s penis and semen, which is the fluid containing sperm. </li></ul>

UTERUS <ul><li>The uterus is a hollow, pear-shaped organ that contains a thick muscular wall. </li></ul><ul><li>The uterus contains a mucous membrane lining and a rich supply of blood. </li></ul><ul><li>The uterus lies in the center of the pelvic cavity between the bladder and the rectum. </li></ul>

BREAST <ul><li>The breast plays a vital role in the reproductive system. </li></ul><ul><li>The breast produces milk by a process called lactation, to nourish the newborn. </li></ul><ul><li>The breast size varies from woman to woman, it has no bearing on the ability to nurse or feed a baby. </li></ul>

FALLOPIAN TUBE <ul><li>The fallopian tubes are called uterine tubes or oviducts. </li></ul><ul><li>The fallopian tubes are approximately 5 ½ inches long. </li></ul><ul><li>As the fallopian tube near the ovaries, the unattached ends expand into finger-like projections called fimbriae. </li></ul>

VULVA <ul><li>The vulva makes up the female external genitalia. </li></ul><ul><li>The labia majora and labia minora are folds of skin that serve as protection for the genitalia. </li></ul><ul><li>The clitoris is a small organ containing sensitive erectile tissue that is aroused during sexual stimulation and corresponds to the penis in the male. </li></ul>
