Teacher demonstrate and explains: i) That a milk carton holds 1 litre of milk. ii) That a jug may hold the same amount of water as the milk cartoon. 2. Pupils investigate the volumes of two different containers (different sizes) by filling the containers with water using a measuring cylinder.

Teacher monitors pupils in measuring volumes of liquid using measuring cylinders to make sure that they take the readings of meniscus of liquid at the eye level.4.
