  1. 1. Liquor Licence applications must be lodged on or before 14h00 on the last Friday of every month. After lodgement a liquor licence application gets published (for 28 days) by the Liquor Authority, two months after it was lodged (i.e. lodge in February – application is published first Friday in April) The liquor licence application is lodged with the DLO as well as the Liquor Authority. The DLO will forward a copy of the application to the local Municipality who must then provide comments on the application. After publication ,the liquor licence application will be finalized and forwarded to the Liquor Tribunal, who places the application on the agenda for consideration. The Tribunal can postpone a liquor licence application for further documentation, conditionally approve an application, or grant an application. Should the liquor licence application be granted, the licence issuing fee must be paid. The licence will then be issued. There is no publication of application during 1 December and 15 January, i.e. every application lodged after the last Friday in September will only be published on the first Friday of February, the following year.
