  2. 2. My P4 Camp ExperienceDay 1 (9 March 2012) We assembled at the hall at 7.30 a.m.. I was like a cat on a hot tin roof, waiting anxiously for the event to begin. After singing our national anthem and took our pledge, Ms Lim spoke to us. Then, Mr Derek Lee gave the opening speech before our camp Commandant Mr Ang spoke to us about the camp rules and distributed the camp booklets. At about 8.40 a.m, we had recess. Then, we had Team Building Activities I. We played a few games in various classes – “The Flying Carpet”, “Pass the Message”, “Minesweeper”, etc. Every teambuilding game we pass, we get a clue to this question:Who murdered SpongeBob?The chart below was given to us: (The ones not eliminated is the answer.)Murderer Venue WeaponEliminated Science Garden Smelly SocksSquidward Eliminated EliminatedEliminated Eliminated EliminatedEliminated Eliminated Eliminated
  3. 3. The answer isSquidward killed Spongebob at the Science Garden with Smelly Socks. WANTED !After that, we had lunch at 12 noon. Then, we went to ISH 1(Indoor Sports Hall 1) for Field Cooking. We cooked MaggiNoodles. Mouth-watering aroma of the noodles filled my nose.Until then, I hadn’t realized how hungry I was. After the noodleswas cooked, I gobbled it up. Cooking Maggi Noodles wasn’t veryhard. Then, we headed to the ISH 2 for tent pitching. There, MrJason Lau taught us how to pitch a tent and dismantle it. At last, after much difficulty, we pitched a tent. We took some picturesand were very proud of ourselves as we had done tent pitchingsuccessfully. I felt like I was on the top of the world but it didn’tlast long as it was time to dismantle the tent. I had never triedtent-pitching before so it was a new experience for me.We had atea break at 1545 (3.45 p.m). We went to the MPH to practice ourcheers. We then went to the washroom to shower. After that, weate dinner before going to the Parade Square for campfire.Agroup of scouts started the camp fire. Every class presented at

It was one of the biggestmoments I was waiting for! Then, we went back to the canteen forsupper. After that, we brushed our teeth and washed up. Wewatched a part of the movie, “Despicable me!”Then, at 11p.m., wecrawled into our sleeping bags and slept.Day 2 (10 March 2012) We woke up at 6 a.m. on 10 March. I slugged out of mysleeping bag and went downstairs to brush my teeth. Afterbrushing my teeth, we wentto the Parade Square for MorningExercise. It was quite tiring. We then went to the canteen to haveour breakfast. We had to clean the canteen before we packed ourbags and went to the hall for Prize Presentation and Camp debrief. It was a wonderful experience and I hope to participate in thecamp next yearas well. It was Home Sweet Home.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ THE END
