  3. 3. How can I help my student succeed in Spanish 2?
  4. 4. <ul><li>1 Help your child make time to practice. Learning a language is like learning to play an instrument, there needs to be time to practice. </li></ul>
  5. 5. <ul><li>2 Have your student teach you to say something in the language every day. Explaining is learning. </li></ul>
  6. 6. <ul><li>3 Find cultural events connected to the Spanish language and culture. </li></ul>
  7. 7. <ul><li>4 Go online for resources your child can use at home. The textbook has an excellent website which you can find on my site </li></ul>
  8. 8. <ul><li>5 Provide videos, books and music in the language. </li></ul>
  9. 9. <ul><li>6 Find out how your student is doing by going online or sending me an e-mail. I will send you a copy of his current grade with all the assignments included. </li></ul>
  10. 10. <ul><li>7 Make sure your student takes time to do his/her homework. Some students are just filling in the blanks without paying much attention. </li></ul>
  11. 11. <ul><li>8 Quiz your student on the material. Flashcards work great for this. </li></ul>
  12. 12. <ul><li>9 Have him/her do a study guide. Having your student write a study guide before a test of everything from the chapter helps with the learning. </li></ul>
