Book Talk with VoiceThread

  2. 2. Share your latest book on a VoiceThread!<br />Here’s how.<br />
  3. 3. Go to Class Wiki: <br /><br />Go to Projects Page, then Book Talks.<br />Locate your class period’s VoiceThread.<br />
  4. 4. Register at VoiceThread.<br />Don’t forget to add your name and password to your password note card!<br />Click here to create a free account.<br />Then, click REGISTER.<br />
  5. 5. Register at VoiceThread.<br />Complete the information.<br />Use your first name, last initial so that we know who you are. Remember, to protect your full identity.<br />
  6. 6. Select Comment Type.<br />Click comment button.<br />Use your webcam to record a video comment.<br />Record an audio-only comment.<br />
  7. 7. Record Comment (Book Talk)!<br />You may have to click “Allow” in a pop-up box to enable Voicethread to interact with webcam/recorder.<br />Record your comment. Then, click “stop recording.”<br />VoiceThread will play your comment. If you like it, click SAVE. If not, CANCEL and try again.<br />
  8. 8. Personalize Your Avatar.<br />You can personalize the avatar by uploaded a different image.<br />When logged in, VoiceThread assigns an avatar to identify you.<br />Click the avatar. Then, create another identify and edit your avatar.<br />
  9. 9. Record Comment (Book Talk)!<br />You can upload any image you have saved on your computer!<br />Be creative, and use the webcam to snap a picture of yourself or an object. <br />Or, use clipart. Don’t use copyrighted images!<br />
  10. 10. Celebrate your success, and check out what your classmates are reading!<br />
