  2. 2. This year we are doing a research project that will be related to Sea Camp rather than a paper!
  3. 3. Students will research a topic related to Sea Camp and do the following things: <ul><li>Complete a key word outline using at least 5 sources. (Students have learned how to do this in English, and I have copies of the worksheet that will help them do this!) </li></ul><ul><li>Make a bibliography including 5 sources. </li></ul><ul><li>* Sources may not come from websites except for http://infotrac.galegroup.com/itweb/calvbds </li></ul>

Students will research a topic related to Sea Camp and do the following things: <ul><li>Write 10 multiple choice questions that can be put together for a class quiz. </li></ul><ul><li>Make a short presentation to the class with either: </li></ul><ul><li>* A power point </li></ul><ul><li>* A children’s book </li></ul><ul><li>* A video documentary </li></ul><ul><li>* Or something of your choosing (pre- </li></ul><ul><li>approved) that shows evidence of effort. </li></ul>

Topics <ul><li>Symbiotic relationship between corals and plankton </li></ul><ul><li>Dangers of pollution and coral reef health </li></ul><ul><li>Marine sanctuaries including Looe Key </li></ul><ul><li>How to snorkel </li></ul><ul><li>Boating safety </li></ul><ul><li>Pollution of Florida Bay </li></ul><ul><li>Instructions on how to snorkel around corals safely </li></ul><ul><li>Why is coral protection critical </li></ul><ul><li>Freshwater supply for the Florida keys </li></ul>
