  2. 2. WHAT IS CAFFEINE?  Caffeine is a plant product.  It acts as a stimulant.  Caffeine is the world's most widely consumed psychoactive substance. C8H10N4O2
  3. 3. WHY? PROBLEM  Many people have created an habit .  Caffeine affects our daily activities and our relationships with other people.  I want to know to what extent caffeine affect our daily activities and relationships with our relatives.  I also want to know if the effects are negative or positive.
  4. 4. WHAT? HOW DOES CAFFEINE AFFECT DAILY RELATIONSHIPS ?  Hypothesis: If a high concentration of caffeine is added by intraperitoneal injection to a lab rat then the lab rat will be less affective with its relative.
  5. 5. SPECIFIC AIMS  To determine at what caffeine concentration rats have a better relationship with their relatives.  To determine if caffeine affect feeling behavior between the mother rats and their pups.
  6. 6. OTHER AIMS  To determine at what caffeine concentration rats are more alert.  To determine physical conditions of lab rats by different caffeine concentrations .
  7. 7. LABORATORY EQUIPMENT  1)cages  2)injections  3)caffeine dose  4) exercising wheels  5) mazes
  8. 8. METHODOLOGY  I will have four caged lab rats groups. Each group would have , four rats and a mother.  In each experimental group the mother and the baby rats will have an amount of caffeine.  One lab rat group will only have water and food.(control -)  The second one will have certain amount of caffeine inserted by intraperitoneal injection.
  9. 9.  The third group will have a greater amount of caffeine than the second group.  The fourth group will have greater amount of caffeine than the third one.
  10. 10. METHODOLOGY  By using intraperitoneal injections of certain amounts of caffeine in the lab rats , I will observe different activities.  I will determine the relationship between a mother rat and its baby rats.  I will determine if the mother rat is less affective and careful with its baby rat.  I will also determine the relationship between the brothers and sisters.
