Our health is one of the most important part of our lives that we need to focus on. Because our body is the one driving us to achieve, we should not neglect this area. A few months back, as I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw an out-of-shape man who would gasp for air just by running a couple of minutes. There standing in front of me is an out of shape man who loves to eat at fast food chains, not really watching what he eats. I never saw a successful man in my outer appearance. But I know one thing. This man in the mirror that I’m looking at has one desire – that was the desire to change. I understood back then that in order for me to become the ultra-successful man I was born to be, it will require a far bigger challenge than just changing my mind. I have to be successful in all areas of my life. I have to be successful not only in my financial health, but also in my physical health. I learned that people don’t do well because they don’t feel well. They don’t eat right, exercise right or get enough rest.
As I go through my own journey of transformation, I came to a realization. People has this tendency to associate success with wealth alone. True success comes when you succeed in your areas of your life, not just the financial aspect. We need to strive to be successful in our relationships – be it personal or spiritual – skills & health. In other words, we should strive to have a healthy mind, body and spirit.
For most, exercise is the area where they lack time the most. They can’t seem to muster enough will power to do daily exercise routines in order to improve their well-being. You see, by mustering enough courage to begin a new exercise routine, you can turn that new action into habit. I know it’s difficult at first. I had difficulty at first. All you need is twenty-one days to turn this new action into a habit.
And because habits mold your future, you will find that by exercising daily, solutions to your biggest problems in life will flow to you easily. “ Your motion creates your emotion.” Your new daily exercise routine will give you small successes that can boost your morale. These small successes will then add up to one big success – which is success in your health. Remember, your wealth means nothing if you’re not healthy enough to enjoy them.
Here are 3 guides you can use to achieve success in your health: Start slow. Do not over-strain yourself. This is not a race; this is a journey to health. Focus on achieving small, progressive increments in time and intensity. Focus on your small successes. By doing your exercise routine consistently, you have succeed. Track your progress. Pay attention to how you feel first, not on how you look. Focus on what is happening inside you. Your transformation will start from the inside out, not from the outside in. Stretch yourself farther. Over time, add exercises to your daily routine. Stretch yourself a little each day. By stretching yourself, you are going out of your comfort zone. You are starting to do the uncomfortable until it becomes comfortable. In time, by stretching yourself, coupled with the growth and development that come from your reading books, listening to audios, mentoring with successful models and taking action, you will accelerate your success curve faster than you’ve never done before. By achieving success with your health first, you realize that you’ll have more energy to do things that you want to do. You will become more passionate about what your life’s purpose is and you’ll perform well your life’s mission.
