While in the Image intensifier the image protons is passed through the Photocathode then is converted into electrons. Once electrons the image is passed through the MicroChannel Plate and the where the electrons are Multiplied. The Multiplied electrons are passed through the phosphor screnn and reconverted into photons. Once Converted onto Photons the images is brought into the Collimator, please not the the image is still backwards once passed through the Collimotor it hit an angled Mirror and then another mirror, in this process the image is then flipped and now can be viewable through the eye piece.
Most commonly Night vision is used in wars.

Hunting is a big seller for Night Vision
Night Vision is and can be very expensive to many normal customers. The lowest I’ve see is about the 329.00 range and can go up to 4,500.00 range for higher end goggles.
