What is Hana? HANA is a client, or implementation, that includes single in-memory computing platform, analytics, and applications Typically, SAP HANA is a database that has a source of data, either an SAP or non-SAP, and is configured using SAP HANA Studio and allows for analysis using Business Intelligence (BI) tools The four components of SAP HANA are SAP HANA Databases, SAP HANA Studio, SAP HAPNA Appliance, and SAP HANA Application Cloud.  SAP HANA database is the database that stores data.  SAP HANA Studio is the suite of tools for modeling.  SAP HANA appliance is the database delivered on hardware that includes the studio, replication data, and transformation tools to move data to the database.  SAP HANA application cloud is applications that are rewritten to run on SAP HANA. 5 Copyrighted 2012 by LeverX, Inc.
