3. 3. COFFIN EXERCISE • 1) Rectangle Tool (R) - Click and drag a rectangle any size. Click to close surface.
4. 4. COFFIN EXERCISE • 1) Rectangle Tool (R) - Click and drag a rectangle any size • Type 1’,5‘ and hit (Return) to resize the rectangle. If it is going the wrong direction, reverse the numbers. (Note: Undo = Alt-Backspace)

COFFIN EXERCISE Navigation • Use Mouse Wheel to Zoom in and out on the rectangle. • Use Hand Pan tool (H) to position the screen over the Rectangle • Orbit Tool (O) - Right Click and hold on object, then move mouse to circle the coffin. • Zoom Previous Tool - or Zoom Extents Tool if you get lost.
6. 6. COFFIN EXERCISE • 2) Rectangle Tool - (R) - Click on the top edge of the first rectangle, drag a rectangle any size • Type 1',1' and hit (Return) • Double Click away to clear highlights
7. 7. COFFIN EXERCISE • 3) Move Tool (M) - hover over the point where the line between the rectangles meets at the edge • (Endpoint appears) Click, then drag the curser away from the rectangle parallel to the line, click • Type 6" and hit (Return)
8. 8. COFFIN EXERCISE • 4) Move Tool (M) - hover over the same point other side where the rectangles meet at the edge • (Endpoint appears) Click, then drag the curser away from the rectangle parallel to the line, click • Type 6" and hit (Return)
9. 9. COFFIN EXERCISE • 5) Erase tool (E)- Click on line between the trapezoids to erase.
10. 10. COFFIN EXERCISE • Select Tool (spacebar) - click on grey shape to highlight.
11. 11. COFFIN EXERCISE • 6) Push/Pull Tool (P) - Pull the shape up and click. • Type 18" and hit (Return)
12. 12. COFFIN EXERCISE • 7) Triple click on the coffin to highlight all • Right Click on the coffin to bring up menu • Click - Make Group
13. 13. COFFIN EXERCISE • 8) Paint Bucket Tool (B) - Click Materials - Wood - Cherry
14. 14. COFFIN EXERCISE • 8) Paint Bucket Tool (B) - Click Materials - Wood - Cherry • Click on Coffin to paint • Zoom In Using the Mouse Wheel
15. 15. COFFIN EXERCISE • 9) Double click on Coffin to open group. • Select Tool (spacebar) Click on coffin lid.
16. 16. COFFIN EXERCISE • 10) Offset Tool (F) - Click on Lid and drag towards center. • Type 3" and hit (Return)
17. 17. COFFIN EXERCISE • 11) Push/Pull Tool (P) - Push the shape on the lid down and click. • Type .75” and hit (Return)
18. 18. COFFIN EXERCISE • Use Orbit Tool (O) - to circle the coffin.
19. 19. COFFIN EXERCISE • Repeat 3” Offset on all sides of the coffin.
20. 20. COFFIN EXERCISE • Repeat .75” Push on all sides of the coffin.
21. 21. COFFIN EXERCISE • Use Orbit Tool (O) - to circle the coffin.
22. 22. COFFIN EXERCISE • Repeat the .75” Push on all sides of the coffin.
23. 23. COFFIN EXERCISE • Double Click outside of the object to close the group.
