Come fly with me! Fly with us… the next half an hour or so. “I’m Andreas Sjöström, mobile director at Sogeti.” … “Hi! I’m Massimo Pascotto, Innovation Manager at Scandinavian Airlines!”
So… the mobile became the remote control of life! We can’t seem to put enough life altering features into it! The light bulb and telegraph changed the way we valued electricity in the late 19th century, and the app phone has done the same thing for online and digital. We now are starting to understand the value of online and digital. Just a stepping stone really. In the horizon we have all things connected… but that’s another presentation!
I met Massimo and Scandinavian Airlines a few years ago, and I am proud to share the stage with him today. When we first met, SAS was doing what many other companies did at the time. Trying out apps and mobility, playing, experimenting and building brand. The SAS TimeKiller app had just been published… so we started discussing on the topic of mobile strategy and leaving fun and games to actually matter for the customer and start to drive business. We needed to put mobility into the core of business and core of the business into mobility.
At the end of strategy process we had ended up with highly transactional and engaging apps for iPhone and Android, driving sales and making travel easier through clean and crisp booking, checkin and so on. And a few days ago we completed together an inspirational iPad app with some innovative social media integration.
We want to share the journey we’ve been at together, and some of the lessons learnt, in this presentation!
We need to cope with complexity of our legacy in order to create simplicity
Hilighting the important of testing.
