  3. 4. <ul><li>Taste: When we put something in our mouth, this sense allows the tongue and brain to detect one of FOUR receptors. </li></ul><ul><li>The four taste receptors are, sweet, salty, sour and bitter. </li></ul><ul><li>We use are tongue to taste. </li></ul>
  4. 5. <ul><li>Smell : We can recognize a wide variety of smells and odors. Some smells are pleasant and some are not! </li></ul><ul><li>We use our noses to smell. </li></ul>
