  • These are pictures of my house. Unique things happen at each house according to individuals activities. For example my house was built by my grandpa. He and my grandma participated in square dancing so when he built the house he created it so that there was a big porch that was connected to our living room which was separated by a big picture window and sliding glass doors. That way when people came over to square dance they could open the doors and square dance in and out of the house. Also something unique is that they put sturdy tiles throughout the house so that when the kids where over we could ride our bikes and roller blade inside. What are some unique things about your house?
  • Discuss what things can shape our activities by our house and what activities we do can change how we set up our household. Examples: living in an apartment, can’t through many large gathering parties, if your parents work from home you might have to alter your house to accommodate people coming and going.
  • Briefly discuss how Maslow’s hierarchy of needs can even be achieved through our homes. For example Love and Belongingness when we have to do chore it gives us a sense of belonging. Creativity can be expressed in our homes ….
