  4. 4. This legislative session sadly, we did not have time to advocate for common sense gun bills that would have kept Arizonan’s safe. Instead, we worked tirelessly to combat these 9 bad gun bills: 1. Would require middle and high school students to learn about the use and safe handling of firearms using an NRA program that is proven to be unsuccessful 2. Would reduce the age of a person to have a concealed weapon permit to age 18 years 3. Would allow loaded weapons in school parking lots 4. Would allow concealed/carry on college campuses 5. Would allow property owners to use deadly force to prevent criminal damage (e.g., graffiti) to their property (Would expand AZ’s Stand Your Ground Bill 6. Would prevent taxing or restricting firearms (A nullification bill) 7. Would exempt guns and ammunition from sales tax 8. Would allow Concealed Carry in public spaces & events such as libraries, community centers, zoos, festivals, marches 9. Would prohibit the state or any public entity from contracting with a company unless the company agrees not to discriminate against a firearm entity. We are thrilled to say that none of these bills made it to the Governor’s desk!
