SUCCESSESWithin Leah’s first year at The National Society ofCollegiate Scholars: The national Facebook page grew from 20,000 “likes” to 50,000 “likes.” @NSCS tripled its followers and quadrupled the number of tweets sent weekly. A blog was started and now has 60 regular contributors, 23 partnerships and is steadily increasing in number of site visits. NSCS was awarded “Best Social Media” at the Association of College Honor Societies Conference.

SUCCESSESThe NSCS Summer Success ChallengeThe S2 Challenge was a 12-week programthat took place June-August 2012.Throughout the program, NSCS membersinteracted through social media andcompleted challenges that helpedprepare them for the upcoming year aswell as well as reflect on their pastsemester.Points and prizes were awarded weeklyand at the end of the 12 weeksscholarships were rewarded to the top 3 Press releases and articles:participants with the most points. University of West GeorgiaThere were over 700 registered participants The Daily Utah Chronicleand the S2 Challenge was such a success The Hays Daily Newsthat multiple case studies have been doneon the program.
  7. 7. SUCCESSES#FixYoungAmericaThe #FixYoungAmerica campaign is led bythe Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC) tospread the word and provide solutions toend youth unemployment. NSCS partneredwith YEC to mobilize their nearly 300chapters and large membership base toget involved, spread the word and attractother friends and organizations with theultimate goal to gain the attention andsupport of Stephen Colbert to#FixYoungAmerica.
