  • Often times we have thoughts and feelings about certain issues but we never have the opportunity to express them. If we had the courage to express those thoughts and feelings, who knows what the result may be? Whether change occurs or it doesn’t, the persuasive genre of writing can be a gateway for starting important conversations.
  • A persuasive essay needs an array of supporting facts rather than opinion. Therefore, it is good to research your topic and find the most relevant information to back you up. Letter style is the more leisure form of persuasive writing. Although you can include some supporting facts, it is also very effective to include personal experiences. This creates a more personal effect to a persuasive letter.
  • Although these three topics are very common persuasive writing topics, a writer can be very flexible with topic choice. This form of writing can be used to persuade anything topic that consists of pros and cons.
