Everything You Wanted To Know About Laura

 1. 1. But were too bored to ask!
 2. 2.

My name is Laura, and I’m majoring in nursing. This is my first semester. I’ve been out of high school for 33 years, so I’m a little rusty.

I was born in Oregon, but my folks loaded up the wagon

and moved the family to Arizona in 1962.

We moved every ten minutes or so, so I went to lots of different schools growing up.

My husband and I have a wonderful son, a lovely daughter-in-law, and a precocious granddaughter we adore.

My hobby is family history, and I’ve done genealogy research for many years. I enjoy helping people find their ancestors, and love the research trips.

 3. 3.

Graduate with a BS in nursing.

Find a really great job that I love.

Spend as much time as possible with my elderly parents, my

husband, my son and his wife, and my young

granddaughter.

Join my community’s emergency response system as a volunteer.

 4. 4.

Go back to school and earn a masters degree.

Sock away enough money to retire before I’m 95.

Teach my granddaughter everything I can. I want her to have a great education.

Pay off my home and burn my mortgage!

 5. 5.

This is a picture of 3X great grandparents, James and Narcissa Edwards. They farmed along the White River outside of Beebe. Grandpa died in 1889 at the age of 75, so this picture was taken prior to that event. They had nine kids, plus seven kids from grandpa’s first marriage.

Grandma looks so happy, doesn’t she? Life must have been hard for our ancestors who settled Arkansas. The summers would have been brutal with no air conditioning or fans. They didn’t even have bug spray!

I’d probably look grumpy, too.
