Sotomayor was raised as a Catholic and grew up with alot of Puerto Ricans.She has a little brother that was born in 1957 when she was 2 or 3 years old.  Sonia Sotomayor was diagnosed with type one diabetes at age 8. Her dad died of heart problems at age 42 when she was 9 nine years old.  </li></ul>
