  2. 2. Poster Conventions What are they? Do some posters break the conventions? If so, why? What expectations do you have of an action-adventure film poster? Should you attempt to break conventions? Should you attempt to challenge stereotypes?
  3. 4. Flat Plans <ul><li>A drawn/sketched version of a product before it goes to print. </li></ul><ul><li>Full colour, with labelled conventions/annotations is clearer to the examiner. </li></ul>

Examples <ul><li>Teachers have the opportunity to show a range of flat plans – they may already have their own that students have previously done which could be shown, or access allowing, could search online for ‘flat plans (magazines)’ and students’ work from www.blogspot.com will come up which can be imported into this PowerPoint. </li></ul>

Your Film Posters <ul><li>On A4 paper, you must create a draft of what your action-adventure film poster will look like. </li></ul><ul><li>Remember to include: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Title of the film and style of typography </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Main focal image that is appropriate to the genre (characters, iconography) </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Billings block </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Star billings </li></ul></ul>
