Evaluation of My Questionnaire

  1. 1. EVALUATION OF MY QUESTIONNAIRE http://larasasmediatimes.blogspot.co.uk/
  2. 2. Gender Gender 30% 70% First of all we have gender. This is mostly females who have answered the questionnaire. I think therefore that I should try and make it a little more feminine but however men still are interested and therefore make sure it’s not an overly feminine magazine. This means I need to try and keep the magazine open to both genders but with subtle feminine hints. Male Female
  3. 3. Age Age 10% 10% 10% 10% 10% 50% The primary audience of my magazine is 14-18 year olds. This gives me the basis for what I would want to include within the magazine as this is my age range this makes it easier for me to understand the target audience. 10 to 13 14 to 18 19 to 24 25 to 34 35 to 44 45+
  4. 4. Language What sort of language wold you want to see in a school magazine? 10% 90% Formal Informal The language mostly wanting to be addressed with is informal. I believe this strongly agrees and appeals to my target audience therefore will definitely use this within my media text.
  5. 5. Cost Would You Pay for a School Magazine? 10% 50% 40% Yes No Only if it was good Most people would not pay for a school magazine according to the results of my questionnaire. Although if it was good they would. Therefore I will make the magazine have a cheap price because I believe the media text I will produce will be good and tailored to my specific audience.
  6. 6. Stories Would you Want the magazine to deal with Current Affairs? 90% 10% I will add current affairs into my media text as it seems like pretty much everyone wants to know what is going on in the world. Yes No
  7. 7. Colours Favourite Colour Scheme 10% 10% 10% 10% 10% 10% 40% Cosmic Purple and Blue Pastel Delight Parrot Idsall Colour Scheme Caribbean Autumn Fun Verve The colour scheme I will use is Verve which is a mix of red violets and blues. This was the most common colour scheme selected by people from my questionnaire. I think this gives a good range of colours to suit my target audience.
  8. 8. Headlines What sort of stories would you want to see in a school magazine? 30% 3% 17% 7% 10% 23% 10% Gossip Sporting News School News Interviews Opinion Column Humour/Satire Article Researched Shorts The main headlines will be to do with gossip as due to my questionnaire most people seemed like they wanted within a media text. Also I will add in humour and school news.
  9. 9. Promotion Would you be interested in freebies/offers? 60% 40% Yes No Depends what they are  Most people are interested in offers and freebies as this is a school magazine for upper sixth students we can tell people about NUS extra and the offers you can get etc. Also you can have freebies like school calendars.
  10. 10. Cover What pictures would you want to see on the front cover of a school magazine? 41% 17% 25% 17% Happy students Picture of the main headline School exterior Modelling of Students For this I though of a few possible pictures for the cover the main 2 are happy students and the modelling of students so I take the two and merge them to get my front cover. This therefore fits what people want to see.

Name Which of these names for a school magazine would be most appealing to you? 10% 30% 20% 20% 10% 10% Idsall Exchange Gateway Pursuit Sixth Form Life Acorns Hearsay First of all I thought of six school themed names then got people to choose there favourite out of them. The most popular out of my questionnaire was Gateway, therefore I will use gateway as the name for my magazine.
