As being a developer, you know everything about games and apps. You know exactly how to design and build them. But will gamers be as enthousiastic about your game as you are? Is your game addicting, too complicated or way too easy?

With my company Faxion, I offer a fast and simple solution for testing games: GameTester. I will tell some of my own experiences about testing games. How can you organise this yourself, why ask others for help, and what are mistakes that are often made?

One biggy was that the main gameplay, the color picking and dodging objects, was too difficult and hard to explain correctly. We had four options at this point: 1. Do nothing and continue the game plan LISTEN TO FEEDBACK 2. Remove the color picking 3. Remove the dodging 4. Cry like a little girl, wèèh, and give up We chose option 2.” zondag 23 mei 2010 (w:) 16
