iBook app is on the track of replacing the Kindle. There are many free classical books you can download.
An iPad pen or keyboard can be purchased to help type on the iPad. In the note pad you can also write with your fingers.
You can add many things to your contact list. You can tap an address in the contact list and the map will pull up so you can find there home location.

Research<br />The iPad is so new that little research has been completed on it. Right now there is a research that is going on at West Chester University on the iPad. One topic that is being research is if the iPad would be better then the Kindle or Nook.
