  2. 2. INTRODUCTION Bach is a baroque composer . Baroque music is a style of Western music extending aproximately from 1600 to 1750. Baroque music forms a major portion of the classical music, being widely studied performed and listened to. Composers of the Baroque Era include Bach.
  3. 3. His Life Childhood  Johann Sebastian Bach was born in Eisenach, Germany.  Bach came from a long line of composers .  By the time Johann was 10, both his parents had died, so he was brought up by his older brother, who was a church organist.  Johann became a very good organist, too.
  4. 4. OTHER IMPORTANTS THINGSHIS JOBSJohann Sebastian Bach held three major jobs inhis life:1. First he worked for a duke2. Then for a prince3. And finally, he became director of music at the St. Thomas Church and School in Leipzig, Germany.

  6. 6. last years of his life Bachs health declined in 1749,and he became blind , so the British eye surgeon Jonh Taylor operated on Bach while visiting Leipzig in April of 1750
