  2. 2. Where is India? <ul><li>India is located in Southern Asia. </li></ul><ul><li>It stretches from the Himalayas in the North to the Indian Ocean in the South. </li></ul>

  4. 15. India - Population <ul><li>India has over 1 billion people – approximately 1.06billion. </li></ul><ul><li>Around 75% of these people work in rural areas as farmers. </li></ul><ul><li>But – more and more people are moving to the cities. </li></ul>
  5. 16. India’s Climate <ul><li>India has two seasons – a dry season and a monsoon season. </li></ul><ul><li>During a monsoon there is heavy rain for around 3 months of the year. </li></ul>
