Conduct joint meetings with NAACP religious committee and area pastors to distribute and discuss educational package. An Educational package is to be developed by NAACP President, McCall for distribution.
Each committee person will give an educational program designed to give spiritual, moral and ethical interpretation to the civil rights struggle to the churches in their area.
Encourage a different pastor to conduct devotion or words of encouragement at monthly membership meetings.
Continue church visit of monthly meeting and build on it.
Encourage pastors to choose a Sunday in August [which is membership month] to stress the importance of their members becoming actively involved with the Statesville Branch of the NAACP.
Host a luncheon, sponsored by the Religious Committee, to promote the religious emphasis program.
Develop a social justice ministry; that offers hope and builds relationships by allowing pastors a forum to speak on issues of social justice.Obtain, at least five life memberships from area churches.
