It has been 20 years for Visual Studio 15 years for .NET
The definition of what makes an app good or even great is constantly changing
Users and customers are constantly exposed to many different app experiences
Providing a superior user experience is becoming increasingly more difficult in a market that is dominated by crowded app stores where the competition is just one swipe away and negative reviews can make or break a company‘s public image
Today, I would like to talk about the future of application development and how we see applications play an essential role in any digital transformation effort

Even if organizations realize they need to change and embrace technology advances to stay ahead, they’re also realizing that their ability to actually accomplish this digital transformation might be limited

Gartner predicts that by 2017, only 30% of digital business transformation initiatives will succeed
To be part of the 30%, business and IT leaders must be ready and willing to innovate rapidly from a business model, business process and technology perspective

This is your customer’s opportunity to reinvent themselves, proactively own their industry’s disruption and deliver a new customer experience
