Watching and talking about a video and
collaboratively solving a quiz in the TeCola Virtual
World
„Fashion: fast or sustainable“
Learning stations and discussions in TWB (with
alternative tool options); experience statement
„Environmental issues: waste avoidance“
Students discuss environmental values and
measures regarding waste avoidance. In
international teams, students agree on a common
set of waste avoidance measures and present
them (e.g. in a poster or video).
Open topic
Agreeing on a topic and making a knowledge clip
"Role-playing in TVW“
Students explore the TeCoLa Virtual World together,
agree on a role-play topic, collaboratively write a
script, and perform the role-play.
"Culture game: Food“
Students design a quiz about their own food culture
for the partner teams. Student then participate in
quiz games in the TeCoLa Virtual World.
"Being polite or rude?“
Students describe, compare and discuss their ideas
about what it means to be polite and create a poster
or presentation with situations in which it is
important to be polite.

Task examples from the TeCoLa resources „An interesting sport“ Watching and talking about a video and collaboratively solving a quiz in the TeCola Virtual World „Fashion: fast or sustainable“ Learning stations and discussions in TWB (with alternative tool options); experience statement „Environmental issues: waste avoidance“ Students discuss environmental values and measures regarding waste avoidance. In international teams, students agree on a common set of waste avoidance measures and present them (e.g. in a poster or video). Open topic Agreeing on a topic and making a knowledge clip "Role-playing in TVW“ Students explore the TeCoLa Virtual World together, agree on a role-play topic, collaboratively write a script, and perform the role-play. "Culture game: Food“ Students design a quiz about their own food culture for the partner teams. Student then participate in quiz games in the TeCoLa Virtual World. "Being polite or rude?“ Students describe, compare and discuss their ideas about what it means to be polite and create a poster or presentation with situations in which it is important to be polite. "Talking about personal, controversial, or intercultural topics” Oral or written conversations with a focus on aspects of intercultural communicative competence regarding openness, empathy, cooperation and mutual support 12
