2. 2. Creating a New Course Page
Creating a new course page in ERes is easy! Instructors can create their own course pages by following the instructions outlined in this brief tutorial, or reserve staff can create course pages for instructors.
This tutorial provides information about:

accessing and logging into ERes;
 3. 3. creating a new course page in ERes;
 4. 4. modifying course page information in ERes.

Circulation and Media Services Department, University at Albany Libraries, SUNY
7. 7. Creating a New Course Page
Enter your ERes username and password (these are case sensitive), then select Login. Please contact reserve staff (eres@albany.edu or 442-3609) if you forget your password. If you do not have an Eres account, request one online at http://library.albany.edu/forms/eres.html.
Enter your username and password.
Select the Login button.
Circulation and Media Services Department, University at Albany Libraries, SUNY
9. 9. Creating a New Course Page
After selecting Add Course Page, theCourse Settingswindow will display. 10. 10. Creating a New Course Page
Enter your course information in the course settings fields by selecting your department from the drop-down menu, key in your course number and name, and select the term and year from the drop-down menus.
If you do not want to enter any of the optional course settings information in step 2, proceed to step 3 and select the Save button.
Circulation and Media Services Department, University at Albany Libraries, SUNY
11. 11. Creating a New Course Page
Enter any additional information you wish to include in your ERes course settings in Step 2. Instructors should add a password to each ERes course and distribute that password to students enrolled in the course—this will help limit access to only those students enrolled in your course. The course password is required if the Libraries add coprighted material to your course.
Please enter a password for each course!
The Course Description box can be used for course meeting times & office hours. Anything entered in the Announcement box will appear at the top of your course reserve page. If using Blackboard, use the Courseware Link box to enter a link to your Blackboard course.
Select the Save button after entering all optional course information.
Circulation and Media Services Department, University at Albany Libraries, SUNY
12. 12. Creating a New Course Page
You can modify your course settings—change course password, change term/year, change course description, etc.—after creating a course page. To do so, log into ERes, select your course, then select the Course Settings tab—the course settings page will appear and settings can be edited.
Select the course,
then select the course settings tab.
Circulation and Media Services Department, University at Albany Libraries, SUNY
13. 13. Creating a New Course Page
If you have any questions about creating a new course page or ERes, Library Staff can help! Please contact Reserve Staff at 442-3609 or eres@albany.edu, or contact Kabel Stanwicks at 442-3578 or kstanwicks@uamail.albany.edu.
Tutorial created by Kabel Nathan Stanwicks, University Libraries, University at Albany, SUNY 9/29/09
Circulation and Media Services Department, University at Albany Libraries, SUNY
