 i.e. all activities that help the producer of the product
to send his goods in the hands of the customers
through many channels:
 Transportation, Banks, Means of Communication,
Advertisement , Storage, etc
 In short the main purpose of commerce is to remove
all barriers of goods distribution process.

Meaning of Commerce Education
 So,
 According to C.V.Good, “ Business Education is 1. That
area of education which develops skills, attitudes and
understanding essential for the successful direction of
business relationships.
 2. An area of study dealing with the principles and
practices of teaching business subjects”.
Definition of Commerce Education
• FRANK HOOPER& JAMES GRAHAM 1901 :
• « a practical education suited to the needs of present day, and calculated to fit young people
intended for business careers for work they will have to perform and to better equip for their work
those already in business.

« Any Education which a businessman has and which makes him a better businessman, is for him a

commerce and without a thorough guidance and

material included in secondary school course is purely
additive & superficial

diverse discipline that is included in all

can begin at any level, it can be interpreted
for varying periods of time, and it can be
continued throughout life span of an
individual.
Buss. Edn includes edn for office
occupations, buss. teaching,admn, etc
So, we can say its characteristics
are
 Regularity in dealing
 Profit making motive
 Dealing in goods and services
 Production, sale and purchase of goods and services.
 Creation of form, place and time utility
 Risk and uncertainty
 Satisfaction of the needs of the customers.
