2. 2. Why I chose this site…

It helps parents get more involved with their children’s reading!
 3. 3. It’s super easy to navigate! You simply click on the grade level and download lessons.
 4. 4. It is allowing students to continue their reading and education outside of the classroom

Benefits of Compact for Reading:

Offers lesson plans for all parts of literacy

for grades K-3.

Each grade level offers a complete

breakdown of literacy so it is easy to choose
the area your student/child is struggling in.

It is continuing students’ education outside

of the classroom!
5. 5. Lesson Plans!

For grade 2, you can choose a lesson for words with two meanings. There are worksheets to download and print out for your student/child to get extra practice and a spot for their parents signature.
 6. 6. Then for 3rd graders there are sheets that deal with the parts of a book. For example one sheet would have matching questions to see if the child understands what each part of a book is for.

Reading For A Purpose!

Compact for reading aims to build a classroom community with

students and their parents!

Teachers can benefit from the lesson plans as well as parents!
