2.  Special thanks to the BJP medical cell
for the keen interest in the propagation and
improvement of Ayurveda.
 May be this type of discussion for the first
time from a political party which gives
immense expectations.
 Here submitting some suggestions more
concentrating on ISM development.

3.  NEED of AYUSH dept
 96 crores for ayurveda in haryana
 Kerala-only 14 crores-7 for oushadhi,1/2 for medicinal plant
board, remaining for Ayurveda (Including salaries)
Even Sreelanka is having an Ayurveda Dept and
a Minister for it. When an IAS cadre man is ther
e to control, the whole scenario will change
drastically.

4.  Proper Fund allocation to AYUSH
systems can be ensured.
 Main streaming of ISM system
 Get more chance on proper documentation,
and research and development.
 It is better to post an IAS officer as the
secretary of AYUSH dept

5.  Awareness classes, medical camps, preventive
medicines & treatment, yoga etc should be
ensured through Govt.dispensaries&hospitals
 Urgent steps should be taken to start even one
ayurveda dispensary in every panchayath.(NRHM
medical officers are not implimenting officers.
They are temporary institutions)

6.  Upgrade all 10 bedded hospitals to 30 bedded
hospitals for giving effective IP treatment.
 Upgrade all District hospitals to100 bedded
hospitals

7.  Start mass media wing in all districts and post a
medical officer having swasthavritha MD as in
charge.
 Ensure proper infra structure for its smooth
functioning.(Projector, vehicle, fund etc.)

8.  Ensure the service of ASHA workers in the field of
Ayurveda
State Epidemic control cell
 Start state epidemic control cell and task forces in
all districts without interfering the routine works of
medical officers.

9.  All speciality clinics should be started in all district level
hospitals and atleast one in Taluk level hospitals.
 Ensure the service specialist in dispensaries(create a
new post in every dispensaries like a mobile unit for each
speciality and visit each dispensary once or twice in a
month and the MO of the dispensary should screen the
patient and advice the pt to consult the specialist on his
visiting time.

10. Whole world is looking Ayurveda as an effective
alternative system, Quality people should come to
Ayurvedic field. For that the social status of ayurvedic
people should be in par with counterparts in pay & perks.
NHP 2002 on ISM&H ,
The states would be encouraged to consolidate the ISM
infrastructure and raise the salary/professional status of
ISM Practitioners to encourage inflow of talent and
enhanced work culture.

11.  Give parity to all staff with other staffs in health
dept to ensure quality service and to atract more
efficient persons

12. NEED of Inclusion of Ayurvedic Culture and
principles in School syllabus-----
which will be helpfull in all aspects
in long run.

13.  For propagation of Ayurveda introduce ayurveda in
school curriculum and syllabus.
 Aware about the importance of usage of medicinal
plants and its cultivation.
 Provide proper Ayurvedic management to common
disorders in children(problems related to vision,
adolescent age, nutrition, learning difficulties etc.
 Promote better diet and regimens to prevent
life style disorders.

14.  Establish project wing in directorate and all
districts. Create 5 to 10 new full time posts in
directorate and one MO post in all districts .
Dedicated and qualified Mos should be posted
there from service.

15. Inclusion of Ayurveda in the existing
Public health care system
 Lack of Manpower
 Four staff in one dispensary
 Comparison with PHC which contains
minimum 25 staff.
In the existing Public health care system Ayurveda
should be incorporated

16.  Give special attention to both mentally and
physically challenged through this clinic.( Give
awareness on old age problems, life style
modification, yoga clinic etc )
Kshara sutra clinics
 Popularise ksharasutra type treatment modalities.

17.  Give special attention to sports pesons to prevent
injury and to enhance their performance by giving
kerala speciality treatments.
 Start sports Ayurveda clinics in all districts and
every sports schools.

18. TOURISM
 Start speciality clinics in all tourist places
considering foreigners by Govt
 Curative
 Rejuvinative.
 Sufficient Govt orders should be ensured to treat
foreigners.

19.  Start separate training institute under ISM to
provide necessary training to all categories of
staffs including induction training.

20.  Start research institutions and RCC,AIMS model
institutions in Ayurveda rather than resorts
 Create a well defined proforma for proper
documentation .
 Ensure necessary man power and infra structure.
 Establish a centralised data management server
for proper documentation.
 Publish documented data in internationally
accepted journals.

21.  Documentation and validation---Propagation of
these therapeutic procedures—Both have to go in
parallel way
 E-ISM—developing softwares.

22.  Need of Intense Training / CMEs
For taking effective public classes
For preparing projects
For Inculcation of modern culture in diag
nosis and treatment.
For introducing modern innovations
And also for not diluting Ayurvedic basic principles.

23. Balamukulam---Catch them young
Immuno modulatory effects of Indukantham
gritha is proved in studies conducted by
GACT in assosiation with RCC.
Just like use the possibilities of Ayurveda in
recurrent respiratory tract infections,skin
diseases,digestive problems etc.
As per WHO guidelines it is better to reduce
the maximum use of antibiotics.

 Liver disorders
 PCOD etc.
 YOGA----Start yoga centrs in every Ay dispensary-
But not even one word mentioned in Policy draft.

25.  Communicable diseases
Popularisation of medicines like Aparajitha
dhoopam, Bio insecticides,Seasonal habits as
told in In Swasthavritha etc.

26.  Pre natal and Post natal care
Integrating with the existing
modalities which will be much beneficial
for public
 Geriatrics
 Palliative care
 Health calender which includes all healthy
food habits , Dinacharyas, Rithucharyas etc.

27.  Inclusion of Ayurvedic specialities in
Insurance coverage
 Incorporating Ayurveda in Agriculture and
Veterinary fields.
 Inclusion of Ayurveda in Defence and railway

28.  Ayurveda is not a private property of Ayurvedic people
 It is the duty of each Indian to propagate it.
 An Intellectual group of Efficient professionals from
various field have to work together in administrative,
project implementation, and
in all aspects which will propagate Ayueveda globally.
