This assignment was for us to make a list of 20 websites that we could use in our future classrooms. I feel that I really found some interesting and useful material from this assignment. I am able to better analyze sites and their usefulness.

You can make cross-word puzzles, mazes, etc and insert your own words for your students needs.
  2. 2. http://www.teach-nology.com/ web tools/crossword/ = this site allows a free puzzle maker for teachers. It helps a teacher specify lessons in a fun way for students. It also lists other “teacher tools” for teachers to refer to.
  3. 3. http://download.cnet.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10320142.html = this site can allow you download free virus protection. AVG anti- virus screens e-mails, has a virus recovery system, along with the bare essentials of virus protection. This is a great way to start preventing damages to your computer.
  4. 4. http://www.suelebeau.com/freetools.htm = this site was created by a teacher and offers other educators great tools for the classroom. It offers quiz makers, puzzle makers, questions makers, etc.

It is a well known organization and the site gives information about events, opportunities, and support.

  7. 7. http://www.teachingld.org/ = this site is extremely useful for special educators. It gives teachers information about how to teach students with learning disabilities offering resources and ways to understand learning disabilities.

This can be a useful tool for special educators to refer to concerned and confused families. </li></ul>Webquests1. http://www.teachersfirst.com/webquest.htm = this website gives teachers the ability to choose from numerous web quests for their students to engage in. It even allows teachers to create their own. <br />2. Teachersnetwork.org = is a site that offers information and web quests for special education. Web quests make it easier for these students to connect what they are learning to the real world. <br />3. Webquest.org = is useful for web quests in special education because it gives the educator the power to create their own appropriate site. It is also useful because it allows you to share your web quests with others. <br />4. http://bestwebquests.com/ = this site lists the best web quests. For special education in the later grades I would choose the web quest vocational and careers, because often times special education can emphasis life skills and career goals. <br />5. http://www.teach-nology.com/web_tools/web_quest/ = this site shows you how to create your own web quest. It gives you the step by step process and can make it easier for educators. I think it is especially useful for special educators because there are few special education resources, this allows you to make your own. <br />5 Other Sites <br /><ul><li>http://www.learnnc.org/ = this site is useful for any future educator of North Carolina. It offers information about the schools, curriculum, lesson plans, etc.

  11. 11. http://www.funbrain.com/teachers/index.html = this site gives teachers ideas for fun games and activities. For any educator first starting out can be stressful and this site can offer an easy and fun lesson idea.
  12. 12. http://www.mes-english.com/ = this offers free prints to teachers for worksheets, games, etc. This if definitely helpful to new educators in the system.
  13. 13. http://www.homeroomteacher.com/ = this site offers the sales and ideas of teachers supply. A teacher’s classroom design and decorations can really help aid them in teaching.
