wrapped tea light

 1. 1. How to:
pretty tea light holders
kootoyoo … click & stitch
2. 2. Supplies: straight plain glasses (this can be picked up very cheaply at op shops/thrift stores), cotton or bamboo (& a peg for if you need another hand).
3. 3. Begin by wrapping the thread once around the glass. Tie a knot to secure (be sure to leave the tail nice & long).
4. 4. Wrap the glass in a random fashion…up & down, round & round…until you are satisfied with the result.
5. 5. Tie the wound end to the tail of the original knot.Snip off both ends to neaten.
6. 6. Slip tea light candles into the glasses & group together.
7. 7. They really do caste beautiful shadows when lit in a darkened room.Perfect for a centre piece at a wedding or your holiday table.
December 2010
