  8. 8. To understand about the effects of global warming.</li></li></ul><li>Green house<br /><ul><li>Greenhouses are used to grow plants, especially in the winter.
  9. 9. Greenhouses work by trapping heat from the sun
  10. 10. The glass panels of the greenhouse let in light but keep heat from escaping.
  11. 11.   12. 12. Green house effect<br />Carbondioxide present in the atmosphere absorbs infrared radiations reflected from the surface of the earth and heats up the atmosphere.<br />This heating up of atmosphere by carbondioxide in the air is called green house effect.<br />

  15. 15. Greenhouse gases in the atmosphere behave much like the glass panes in a greenhouse.<br />
  16. 16. Importance of the greenhouse effect<br />Without the greenhouse effect, the Earth would not be warm enough for humans to live.<br />But if the greenhouse effect becomes stronger, it could make the Earth warmer than usual. <br />
  17. 17. Global warming<br />Because of Green house effect the average temperature of the earth increases and this is known as Global warming<br />
