2. 2.

The Judicial Branch is in charge of explaining and applying law . They do this by hearing court cases and deciding the outcome.

 3. 3.

You can be heard in three different levels of court systems. The lowest level is the district courts. The 2nd level is the court of appeals. The top level is the Supreme Court.

 4. 5.

The supreme court is the highest court of the land. If it decided guilty in the supreme court it is guilty not matter what, and if you are innocent you are a very lucky person.

 5. 6.

Right now in the Supreme Court there is one Chief Justice, eight associate justices, and two retired justices. There names in that order are: John G. Robert Jr. , John Paul Stevens, Antonin Scalia, Anthony M. Kennedy, Clarence Thomas, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen G. Breyer, Samuel A. Alito Jr., Sonia Sotomayor, Sandra Day O’Connor, and David Souter.

 6. 8.

The Supreme Court was set up by the Constitution.

The Supreme Court was organized on February 2, 1790.

The Supreme Court building is in Washington D.C.

Of the approximate 4,500 cases appealed to the Supreme Court each year only about 200 are heard.

There are 13 judicial circuits, each with a court of appeals.

There are 94 U.S. district courts in the United States.

Wade -- In this highly controversial case the Supreme Court laid down what states can and cannot control in regards to abortions.

In Re Gault -- Children were granted some of the rights in criminal cases protected by the Bill of Rights.

 8. 10.

There real are no certain requirements for being a Supreme Court justice, because the president appoints you. You really just have to be really known in the government and pretty smart. That doesn’t mean that you can be a high school dropout though. Usually people who are high in the government graduate from the highest ranked school in the country such as Harvard or Yale. Also you must be really hard-working because being the supreme court justice is one of the hardest job in the nation.

 9. 11.

Judicial Members are appointed by the president of the United States of America and approved by the senate.

 10. 12.

Justices have no certain term length they run until resign, pass away, or are impeached and convicted by Congress.

 11. 13.

This technically could be my future job, but I do not think a can handle such a high responsibility. First of all you need to be vey good with politics which I extreme dislike. Then you need to go to schools like Harvard and Yale which is very unlikely for me. Finally there would be too much pressure from too many people and if a make one tiny mistake my life would be down the dumps.
